Wolves v Sheffield United early team news - seven out and three doubts

Latest injury and team news ahead of Wolves versus Sheffield United in the Premier League at Molineux.

Wolves are back amongst their home supporters as they host Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday.

It is the only league match being played on Sunday and is scheduled to kick-off at 13:30 on Sky Sports Premier League. The Carabao Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool will kick off on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.

Gary O'Neil's side are in good spirits after their 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend. Joao Gomes scored in either half to give Wolves the victory with Dejan Kulusevski cancelling out his 42nd minute opener.

The result put Wolves 11th in the table and now they are level on points with Chelsea and are outside the top-half of the table on the virtue of goal difference. Chelsea aren't in league action this weekend West Ham don't play until Monday so Wolves can overtake them with a victory.

As for United, they suffered a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion last Sunday. Everton loanee Mason Holgate was sent off after just 13 minutes which was the quickest red card this season. Brighton profited from his dismissal with Facundo Buonanotte and Danny Welbeck netting in a four-minute salvo and then Simon Adingra scored a brace as he added to Jack Robinson's own goal. Sheffield United are rock bottom of the league and level on points with Burnley with only goal difference separating the two sides. They are seven points adrift of safety and have played a game more than Luton Town who are above them in 18th.

Earlier in the season, Sheffield United won 2-1 against Wolves. Paul Heckingbottom was in charge and he saw the Blades win thanks to goals from former Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer and Oliver Norwood, with O'Neil incensed following a controversial penalty decision.
