Wolves will make the signing of a centre-back in the January transfer window a priority, it has been reported.
It's claimed by the Telegraph that Wolves are 'looking to prioritise' the signing of a centre back when the window opens up again in January. Funds are being made available to sign a centre back, whether it's a permanent signing or a loan capture.

Hide AdWolves have the wost defence in the league having shipped 27 goals and their win against Southampton was their first clean sheet of the campaign. A season ending injury to Yerson Mosquera has left Wolves short of options, whilst Santiago Bueno is a doubt for this weekend after returning back from international duty with an injury.
Bastien Meupiyou was signed from Nantes in the summer but has yet to make an appearance after arriving with a pre-existing injury. Wolves sold club captain Max Kilman to West Ham for £40m, but didn’t source a replacement.

That win against Southampton before the international break relieved a bit of the pressure on manager Gary O'Neil. Wolves still find themselves second from bottom ahead of their game against Fulham, and he is not yet out of the woods.
The club's hierarchy are still 'seriously' concerned with the start of the season and expect to see an upturn in form. Home matches against Bournemouth and Ipswich Town are to come but there are trips to Fulham, Everton, West Ham and Leicester City to come just before Christmas.

Hide AdWolves’ position in the table will play a huge role in whether they are able to attract their transfer targets or not. Should they build on their win against the Saints, they could be a more attractive proposition to any players that they wish to pursue.
The article also states that there is no option to recall Hugo Bueno in January. Bueno is currently on loan at Feyenoord and has made 10 appearances in all competitions so far for the Dutch side.
During the international break, it was reported that La Liga giants Barcelona were interested in signing Bueno. Their top target is Alphonso Davies but should they fail to land the Canadian international then they will turn their attentions to signing the Spain under-21 international. With there being no recall option in Bueno’s loan deal, the Catalan side will have to wait until the summer to make any move.
Toti Gomes has been playing at left-back, but he is predominantly a centre back. Bueno would have been able to provide cover at full-back, with Toti able to focus on playing more of a central role.
