Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on the first of what they hope will be numerous summer signings, with a full agreement imminent for Celta Vigo winger Fer Lopez.
Birmingham World understands the Old Gold have seen a £19.5 million bid accepted by Celta and that Lopez is close to agreeing personal terms. The 21-year-old, one of Jorge Mendes’ clients, only made his proper La Liga breakthrough during the second half of the season just gone but that was enough time to impress.
Wolves have also already confirmed two done deals, both of which are exits. Talismanic attacker Matheus Cunha recently joined Manchester United in a club record £62.5 million transfer and left wing-back Rayan Ait-Nouri has signed for Manchester City for around £33.5 million plus add-ons.
Transfer discussions are underway as Wolves seek to replace Cunha and Ait-Nouri but head coach Vitor Pereira, now into his first summer transfer window, wants to address plenty of other areas in the squad. It’s understood Wanderers are hoping to strengthen in the goalkeeper, central defender, left wing-back, central midfield, attacking midfield, right wing and striker positions.
Who could Wolves sign this summer, then? And who could depart Molineux to raise funds? The speculation has been rife over recent days, weeks and months, so Birmingham World has done the hard yards and sourced every single rumour since March. Without further ado, here’s a full run-through.

33. Gabriel Sara
Caught Offside reported last month that Wolves have scouted Sara ahead of a potential swoop. The Galatasaray midfielder has also been linked with Wanderers’ local rivals, Aston Villa. | Middle East Images/AFP via Getty

34. Diogo Jota
Wolves have been tentatively linked with a romantic reunion with former star attacker Jota, as TEAMtalk has stated the Old Gold are keeping tabs on his situation. Liverpool are unlikely to sell, however. | AFP via Getty Images

35. Harvey Elliott
Another Liverpool star, Elliott has been widely rumoured to be a target for Wolves. The £50 million asking price is perhaps too excessive but the Old Gold could try a lowball offer to see how Liverpool react. | Liverpool FC via Getty Images

36. Valentin Castellanos
Reports in Italy several weeks ago suggested Wolves were advancing with a pursuit of the highly-rated Lazio striker. There’s been no update since, however, with the £25 million forward staying put in Rome as it stands. | Getty Images
