Wolves’ third summer transfer ‘completed’ as Everton close in on Conor Coady signature

It could be a busy Monday at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reached an agreement with Valencia for the signing of Portuguese winger Goncalo Guedes.

That’s according to high-profile transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano who states that a ‘long-term contract’ has been agreed between the two clubs for a fee in the region of €32million plus add-ons.

Guedes, who has been linked with a move to Molineux in the past, now looks set to finally complete a move to the Premier League and is due in the country later today to complete his medical.

All being well, the 25-year-old will become Wolves’ third permanent signing of the summer, following Hwang Hee-chan and Nathan Collins through the door.

Captain set to leave his pack

Where there’s a Monday positive, though, there also appears to be a negative.

Wolves captain Conor Coady is set to leave the club to join Premier League rivals Everton on a season-long loan.

The boyhood Liverpool fan has been with Wolves since 2015 and has gone on to make over 300 appearances for the club, cementing himself as a real club legend during that time.

But that incredible run looks to be coming to an end with the Express & Star reporting that a move to Merseyside could be completed as early as today.

The Toffees will have an option to buy on the 29-year-old whose departure will leave Wolves looking very short defensively.
