Wolves’ staggering £338m squad value compared to Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Brighton & Leicester - gallery

As the January transfer window heads toward its conclusion, we take a look at Wolves’ current squad market value compared to their Premier League rivals.

It’s been a disappointing season for Wolverhampton Wanderers but their squad worth remains high as there are plenty of top-quality players still at the football club. The combined market value of Wolves’ stars is only increasing as Julen Lopetegui brings fresh faces through the door at Molineux during the transfer window.

Four signings have been made so far this month, with Matheus Cunha joining a loan with an obligation to buy from Atletico Madrid and experienced trio Mario Lemina, Craig Dawson and Pablo Sarabia all signed for little-to-no cash. There could yet be more incomings with the Joao Gomes saga up in the air and Lopetegui hoping to add depth at right-back.

Currently in a relegation battle, Wanderers are far from safe along with the likes of Leeds United, West Ham, Bournemouth, Everton and Southampton. Some of these sides are investing to try and escape the drop, whereas others have done very little business, concerning their supporters.

With the transfer window soon coming to an end, we wondered how Wolves’ squad value compares to that of their fellow relegation battlers, as well as the rest of the Premier League. With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest figures from Transfermarkt, as well as a comparison to the start of the current season.
