Wolves 'preparing' club-record £45m bid for midfield gem once dubbed 'next David Silva'

Wolves boss Vitor Pereira has quickly become a popular figure at Molineux. He was appointed as their replacement for Gary O’Neil earlier this season. Not many knew too much about him when he arrived in England but he has adapted well to life in his new country.
The former FC Porto and Fenerbahce man has managed to inspire the Midlands outfit to an upturn in form. They risen away from the drop zone with ease in the end. They have three more fixtures left to play in the Premier League before the end of the season.

Wolves are ‘preparing’ a club-record £45million move for Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott this summer, as per a report by GiveMeSport. They are keen to snap up the player when the next transfer window opens for business. He could be seen as someone to add more quality to their ranks.
Elliott, 22, has been on the books at Anfield since 2019. Prior to his transfer to the Reds, he rose up through the academy ranks at Fulham. He was initially loaned out by the Reds to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship to get some experience under his belt.
The England youth international has made 144 appearances for his current club to date and has scored 14 goals, four of which have come in this campaign. Former Liverpool manager Jan Molby said back in February 2022: “In many ways Harvey Elliott reminds me of David Silva. It was incredible for an 18-year-old to come on and change the game.”
Wolves latest ahead of end of Premier League season
Wolves were beaten 1-0 away at Manchester City last time out. Kevin de Bruyne scored the only goal of the game at the Etihad Stadium. The visitors weren’t able to get back into the game in the end and went home with nothing. Next up are matches coming up against Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace and Brentford.

Hide AdTheir full-back Nelson Semedo has said that they want to end this term on a high note with some wins: “We want to finish the season in the right way. We have two games at home and one away, and we're going to go for it. We had six in a row winning and seven unbeaten. Today unfortunately we couldn't carry on with that level, but we have a lot of positive things to take from this game, and we're going to chase the three wins in the next three games.
“It was a tough season, but we're enjoying it now. We didn't start well – when Vitor came in we had nine points. We knew that we were not doing well, but we also knew that we had quality to do better, and that's what we're doing now. We didn't win today, but we showed team spirit, we showed quality. We have a lot of a lot of positive things to take from this game, and we have a bright future in front of us.”
