Decision on £8.5m star, Gary O'Neil makes one change - Wolves predicted XI vs Fulham

Wolves are on their travels this weekend as they face Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League.
The final international break of 2024 is now over and a busy period awaits Gary O'Neil and his side. Things are slightly better now around Molineux after they signed off with a 2-0 win against Southampton before the break.

Hide AdUnfortunately not everyone has come back from international duty unscathed. Santiago Bueno was withdrawn from the Uruguay squad by Wolves, and now he's doubtful for the weekend.
Centre back has been a problem area this season because of injuries. Hopefully Bueno's issue isn't too serious, but given the travelling back and a potential injury, it's likely that a change will be made at the heart of the defence.
Wolves predicted XI vs Fulham
Here are the 11 players we reckon will line up at Craven Cottage this weekend
GK: Jose Sa
Sam Johnstone was on the bench for the game against Southampton but Sa will likely keep his place in between the sticks. You can’t drop a keeper if he’s just kept a clean sheet.
RB: Nelson Semedo

Hide AdA potential option to fill in for Santiago Bueno at centre-back, but it’d be best to keep him at full-back. He’s got a good crossing ability, and so keeping him out on the flanks is the best decision.
CB: Matt Doherty
Santiago Bueno is a doubt for the fixture and as a result, Gary O’Neil might have to do without the Uruguayan. Doherty hasn’t played much football over the last few months but appeared for the Republic of Ireland over the international break. His experience might be favoured over giving Alfie Pond his Premier League debut.
CB: Craig Dawson
If Doherty starts then it’s likely to be an experienced back line against Fulham. Dawson has started the last five league matches, and with there being a lack of options, he’s likely to keep his place.
LB: Toti Gomes
Gomes playing at full-back would allow Ait-Nouri to play a more attacking role.

CM: Mario Lemina

CM: Joao Gomes
Ever present for Wolves in the league this season. He’ll get the nod once again.
RW: Pablo Sarabia
Opened the scoring against Southampton and is likely to retain his place.
CAM: Matheus Cunha
Got on the score sheet against Southampton. Hopefully that will have given him some confidence.
LW: Rayan Ait-Nouri

Hide AdAit-Nouri playing in a more attacking role can be beneficial for the whole team. He’s clearly got the ability to run at teams, and using him on the counter-attack will be wise.
ST: Jorgen Strand Larsen
Likely to lead the line again. A goal would do him some good.
