Wolverhampton Wanderers are gearing up to take on Scottish Premiership champions Celtic in Dublin on Saturday afternoon.
Facing their fifth pre-season fixture this month, Julen Lopetegui’s side will be eager to continue their momentum following four successive victories.
Wolves have scored six goals and conceded just once so far this July, with the recent 1-0 victory over Porto in Algarve perhaps the most impressive of the bunch.
A difficult test awaits, however, with Celtic by no means a pushover opposition. The Bhoys lost just three league games in 2022/23 as they won the Premiership title.
With three more games to come for Wanderers - including this one - ahead of the opening weekend of the Premier League, we’re expecting a strong side to be put out.
There will of course be some rotation from Lopetegui, but it’s likely to be predominantly first-teamers in the starting 11, rather than youngsters.
With that in mind, here’s the lineup we think Wolves will go for on Saturday, including a couple of surprise inclusions.

2. RB - Matt Doherty
Came off the bench in Porto but we reckon he’ll start this one, especially given the clash is in his home country. | Getty Images

3. CB - Craig Dawson
Took Nathan Collins’ place in January and hasn’t really looked back since. Will be an important player for Wanderers in the months to come. | Getty Images

4. CB - Max Kilman
