Gary O’Neil has a few fresh selection factors to consider ahead of Friday's FA Cup trip to Brentford as a trio of players have jetted off for international duties, joining up with their squads at either the Africa Cup of Nations or the Asia Cup.
Top goalscorer Hwang Hee-Chan is one of these while shining left wing-back Rayan Ait-Nouri and powerful central midfielder Boubacar Traore are also away this January. It depends on how far their nations progress in the respective competitions as to when they’ll return.
Meanwhile, thoughts are with star midfielder Mario Lemina following the death of his father last week. The Gabonese missed Wanderers' 3-0 win over Everton as a result and he remains in France, with his family.
O'Neil says he's not aiming to rotate too heavily for this but he'll be forced to make a few changes regardless. With that in mind, here's the Wolves starting XI we predict will take on the Bees at Gtech Community Stadium.
1. GK - Daniel Bentley
Bentley comes in for a start after sitting out the last few. Sa kept a clean sheet against Everton but rotation is needed to keep the goalkeeping department happy.
2. RB: Nelson Semedo
Semedo struggled a little with his form a month or so ago but he stepped up in December with some brilliant displays.
3. CB - Max Kilman
The skipper is probably the least likely of the defenders to drop out of the XI, regardless of whether this is an FA Cup tie or not.
4. CB: Craig Dawson
Dawson, who scored last time out, has become vitally important in this Wanderers side. His experience is vital and will be key again here as Wolves look to progress in the FA Cup.
