Wolves player ratings vs Liverpool: One scores 8/10, one 4/10 and four 7/10s in harsh home defeat
A look at the Wolves player ratings from their 3-1 home defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.
Gary O’Neil’s men dominated the first half and took a lead into the break after Pedro Neto’s superb low cross found Hwang hee-Chan at the back post. Wolves outplayed their visitors in the first 45’, and an unmarked Matheus Cunha should have scored to make it two before the break only to mistime his jump at the far post.
Wolves again defended valiantly, but their resolve was broken when Cody Gakpo tapped in a Mo Salah cross on the 55th minute. Liverpool dominate from there, turning the tides, and they got their reward when Andy Robertson drifted into the near post before flicking home, and the Reds made sure of the three points when Harvey Elliott’s strike was deflected in off the post by Hugo Bueno, with the goal going down as an own goal.
It’s another tough one to take for Wolves, who probably deserved more, and but nonetheless, we have put together the player ratings for the Wolves stars below.

1. Jose Sa - 6
Great save just before the break to keep his side in front, but his rushed, poor kick out of his hands led to the Liverpool winner.

2. Nelson Semedo - 7
Clearly asked to defend narrow and did it brilliantly. Showed real discipline defensively and managed to offer a threat going forward.

3. Craig Dawson - 7
Superb for the most part, making key blocks and leading the line brilliantly, but he lost his man for the second Liverpool goal and drops to a seven for that reason.

4. Max Kilman - 7
Solid throughout. Huge block to deny Darwin Nunez at the 70-minute mark.
