Wolverhampton Wanderers managed to survive relegation relatively comfortably thanks to a remarkable turnaround under Julen Lopetegui after the World Cup break.
The Old Gold put together a string of six wins in seven home games between March and May to earn themselves enough points to go well above the drop.
As things worked out, Wolves were just three points off Chelsea at the end of the campaign and they would’ve finished in the top half if Lopetegui had been in charge all along.
Wanderers looked down and out when the Spaniard first took charge as countless players were lacklustre and there was a complete lack of belief under the helm of Bruno Lage.
Wolves had the worst goalscoring form in the league and were unable to boast much better of a defensive record, meaning plenty lost their places once Lopetegui arrived.
Come January, and new signings were brought in to bolster the squad for the second half of the campaign and a few of them really impressed. Others did not.
On reflection, it was a disappointing season but a successful revival. With that in mind, we’ve rated every single player from the Wolves squad out of 10 for their involvement.

1. Matija Sarkic - 5/10
Made just three appearances in the first half of the campaign before being sent out to Stoke City on loan. Kept one clean sheet - against Leeds - but conceded three across the other matches. One of the games, against Liverpool in the FA Cup, saw Sarkic really struggle. | Getty Images

2. Daniel Bentley - 6.5/10
Signed in January from Bristol City and didn’t get an opportunity until the last few fixtures of the season. Really impressed despite defeat away at Manchester United and kept his place against Everton. Could be of good use next term. | Getty Images

3. Jose Sa - 6/10
Had a few strong performances with the 0-0 against Fulham in August and 1-0 win over Tottenham coming to mind but didn’t show anywhere near enough consistency. Shockers against Leeds, Brighton and Arsenal didn’t help his case either. | Getty Images

4. Dexter Lembikisa - 6.5/10
Started twice for Wolves with two appearances against Liverpool in the FA Cup. Did an outstanding job in the first meeting and then didn’t do as well in the replay. Some promising signs for the youngster nonetheless, who has racked up plenty of game time in Premier League 2. | Getty Images
