Wolves-linked Pedro Martins is reportedly heading to Hull City.

The 52-year-old had emerged as a potential option to replace Bruno Lage at Molinuex with the Express & Star reporting that the Premier League side were ‘considering’ a move for him.

However, in this latest update by Portuguese news outlet Record, he is said to be ‘on his way to England’ to join Championship club Hull (see tweet below):

The Tigers are in the hunt for a new boss after deciding to sack Shota Arveladze last week and have been linked with a few names including Carlos Carvalhal, Carlos Corberan and Scott Parker.

Martins has now become the favourite on SkyBet for the vacancy at the MKM Stadium at 1/3 (as of 22:00, 04.10.22), meaning a switch to Wolves may well be off the cards now.

He managed the likes of Maritimo, Rio Ave and Vitória de Guimarães in Portugal before taking the Olympiacos job in 2018.

The ex-midfielder spent four years in charge of the Greek giants and won the Super League three times before his exit at the start of August.

Wolves’ search for a new manager continues and they will be carefully weighing up their options, and if Record’s report in Portugal is believed to be true, there could be a new foreign manager on their way to Hull.
