Wolverhampton Wanderers are in advanced talks to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on a season-long loan.

That’s according to talkSPORT who state that the gold and black are favourites to land the Belgian forward, who is also wanted by fellow Premier League side Everton.

The 28-year-old has a year left on his deal at Stamford Bridge and it is believed that if a loan move is to progress, that the Blues will also be willing to pay a percentage of his wages.

Batshuayi has been with Chelsea since 2016 but has spent the majority of that time away on loan, including last season where he had the full year with Turkish giants Besiktas.

He played 42 games all in competitions in the last campaign, including numerous appearances in the Champions League.

The striker rumours have really ramped up in the last 28 to 48 hours for Wolves and away from Batshuayi, they are also being linked with Bordeaux’s South Korean forward, Hwang Ui-Jo.

According to well respected French outlet, L’EQUIPE, the black and gold submitted an offer of around €3million for Hwang Hee-chan’s international teammate but it was a bid that the French club found ‘insufficient.’

Hwang, 29, apparently has a great desire to play in the Premier League and could get that chance if Wolves are to stump up the cash.

He’s able to operate both as a natural centre-forward and on either wing, something that fits in perfectly with how Bruno Lage likes his forwards to play.
