Wolves given big Ruben Neves injury boost as Bruno Lage slaps huge price-tag on Portuguese star

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been given a huge boost in regards to the fitness of standout midfielder Ruben Neves with Bruno Lage confirming his injury is ‘not as serious’ as first thought.
The manager also discussed the possibility of getting a new contract signed and sealed for the 25-year-old on the back of interest from Manchester United and others, adding that it would take a massive nine figure sum to prize him away from Molineux.

Hide AdSpeaking ahead of Friday evening’s trip to Newcastle United, Lage first provided a fitness update that will come as music to the ears of the Wolves fanbase.
“At the beginning it was serious, now it’s not as serious as we expect,” he claimed.
“Let’s see what happens before the end of the season if he can recover to play games.”
Neves, who has just been awarded Wolves’ player of the month for March has previously been linked to big money moves to Liverpool and more recently the red side of Manchester.

Hide AdNumbers in the region of £35-40m have been bounded about recently for the midfield maestro, however, in a far from subtle way, Lage pretty much said you’re going to have to double that, and then some, if you’re going to land him.
“What he’s doing this season is very good,” Lage stated.
“He has shown a better Ruben and has improved a lot. He puts our team on a different level.
“The best thing is to improve his salary and give him more years of contract but we know the big teams are there with £100m to buy these kind of players.”
