Wolves' dream new £133m starting XI next season if rumours are true - including Everton and AC Milan signings
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Wolves are on track to escape relegation to the Championship following a revival under new head coach Vitor Pereira, who replaced the sacked Gary O’Neil in December.
It’s been far from an ideal few months for the Old Gold even then but enough wins and draws have been secured to move six points clear of the relegation zone. Wanderers take on every team in the bottom three - Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton - before the end of the season, so avoiding defeat in those should be enough to stay up.

Hide AdTransfer plans for next season are likely to be prepared way ahead of time, even with the uncertainty of what division Wolves will be in. There’s not much commitment to deals until the transfer window is open anyway, unless it’s a pre-contract agreement for a soon-to-be free agent.
Pereira has already made his mark in the market with the signings of Emmanuel Agbadou, Nasser Djiga and Marshall Munetsi but the new manager will want to reinforce his squad further, no doubt. With all the rumours circling, it’s got us thinking here at BirminghamWorld, just how could the team look next campaign if Pereira gets his way?
Wolves’ new starting XI if the transfer rumours are true

Without further ado, here’s a full run-through of how Wolves’ new lineup - worth around £133 million as per Transfermarkt - could theoretically look for the 2025/26 season.
GK - Jose Sa: There were doubts over Sa’s future for a long period but he seems to have settled under Vitor Pereira, undoubtedly the first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Sam Johnstone.

CB - Michael Keane (in from Everton): Available on a free transfer from July 1, Keane is reportedly of interest to Wolves. At 32 years of age, the former England international probably has another season or two in him at the top level.
CB - Nasser Djiga: One of Pereira’s winter signings, Djiga is yet to properly settle but he’ll bound to be in the swing of things by the time next campaign comes around. The Burkina Faso international has great potential.
CB - Emmanuel Agbadou: Another January addition, Agbadou has hit the ground running immediately. The £16 million fee looks like a snip from what we’ve seen so far.

Hide AdLWB - Rodrigo Gomes: As Rayan Ait-Nouri has been heavily linked with Liverpool and AC Milan, Wolves will either have to sign a new left wing-back or utilise someone already at the club. Rodrigo has played well in the role and could definitely do a job.
CM - Andre: The Brazilian is really settling into a rhythm now he’s adapted to the Premier League. There’s no wonder the likes of Manchester United and Fulham were interested in signing him before he made the move to Molineux.
CM - Joao Gomes: Completing a Brazilian midfield pairing, Gomes has the potential to be one of the Old Gold’s best players. He can be a bit of a loose cannon at times but his competitiveness is one of his strongest attributes.
RAM - Marshall Munetsi: The Zimbabwean has been utilised plenty already following his recent arrival from Reims. Munetsi’s versatility is a real benefit as Pereira has been able to use the midfielder at striker, on the flank and in the centre.

Yuri Alberto, linked with West Ham and Southampton, is a target for Wanderers. The 23-year-old has scored six goals in 15 appearances so far in 2025.
ST - Tammy Abraham (in from Roma): Wolves have recently been linked with the former Chelsea and Aston Villa striker despite Jorgen Strand Larsen being set to become a permanent addition. It’d be tough to choose between the pair.
