Salernitana could look to offload former Wolves target Boulaye Dia this summer. According to Labaro Viola (via Sport Witness), the Serie A side are keen to cut ties with the striker at the end of the season so the door could swing open for O’Neil to swoop in to bolster their options at the top end of the pitch.

Dia, 27, is a Senegal international and is rated at around £11million on Transfermarkt. He has fired 20 goals in 51 matches for his current club, four of which have come this term, having previously played for Stade de Reims in France and Villarreal in Spain.

Wolves ace Rayan Ait-Nouri has been linked with a switch to champions Manchester City. Pep Guardiola is said to be an admirer of the 22-year-old as he weighs up his potential next transfer targets.

The Algeria international has been playing his football at Molinuex since 2020 after joining from Angers. For now though, reporter Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on the speculation in his CaughtOffside column: “Rayan Ait-Nouri – In my opinion he could be very good option for any top club as he’s linked with Manchester City by some reports.

“But at this point, Man City have not even planned for potential signing in that position; it’s something that they will discuss close to the end of the season and Wolves won’t make it easy for sure.”
