It’s been a frustrating summer so far for the most part, for fans of Wolves.
Other than Hwang Hee-chan’s move from RB Leipzig being turned from a loan into a permanent, the gold and black have only added one new face to their ranks, bringing in Nathan Collins from Burnley.
Bruno Lage’s squad last year looked lacking for large parts. Whilst the first eleven always looks capable of taking on the best, the depth was simply not there - and it’s an issue that still hasn’t been resolved.
Wolves are an injury or two away from dipping into having to use their youngsters, especially in forward areas and for a club that look so close to making that next step, the frustration from fans is understandable.
There is still the month of August for new faces to be added and after losing Raul Jimenez to injury this past week, they’ve become more of a need than a want.
Leeds United are first up this coming Saturday and will provide a good benchmark of where this Wolves squad are at.
As things stand, here’s what we think the gold and black’s best starting line-up is for that game and beyond.

9. RW - Morgan Gibbs-White
From spending last season on loan to becoming a near guaranteed starter. Gibbs-White simply has to play for Wolves this season and will likely take up one of the three forward positions. Photo: Quality Sport Images

10. LW - Daniel Podence
Another player that has proved how important he is to the team both towards the back end of the season and this summer. Wolves simply perform better with him in the side. | Getty Images

11. ST - Pedro Neto
An incredibly talented player who was greatly missed during injury last year. With Jimenez out, he will likely be trusted to lead the line which is no bad thing. | Getty Images
