The 18-year-old has gained the attention of Premier League clubs following an impressive rise through the Nantes youth academy and up into the first team. Although Meupiyou has only made one senior appearance to date, the teenager is one of Nantes’ most prized young assets.
If Wolves do indeed land Meupiyou, it’ll come as a blow for Tottenham Hotspur as, according to L’Equipe, Spurs have held an interest in the defender. Ange Postecoglou’s side were hoping to acquire the France Under-18 international’s services for a cut-price fee.

In other transfer news, the Old Gold have received a boost in their hopes of signing another target. The Daily Mail reports Crystal Palace have stripped goalkeeper Sam Johnstone of the number one shirt, instead handing it to Dean Henderson. Johnstone is now expected to leave.
Eagles head coach Oliver Glasner has decided to proceed with Henderson as the new first-choice shotstopper, leaving the door open for Johnstone to depart Selhurst Park. TalkSPORT credited Wolves with an interest in the former England international last week.
