Wolves monitoring Everton and Newcastle target after Liverpool failure
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly one of a host Premier League clubs interested in signing former Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo this summer.
The Brazilian, still contracted to Juventus for another two years after his €72 million (£61 millIon) acquisition from Barcelona in 2020, is expected to leave Turin. A return to the Premier League could be on the cards despite his terrible 2022/23 loan spell at Liverpool in which he played merely 13 competitive minutes.

Hide AdItalian outlet TuttoSport reports Wolves, Everton and Newcastle United are all interested in signing Arthur. It’s not mentioned if the player would be keen on coming back to England but it appears his Juve career is all but over, so his current club wouldn’t get in the way if a reasonable bid arrived.
Once widely regarded as one of the most exciting young midfielders in the world, Arthur could do with a successful permanent move to revive his career. The 27-year-old is halfway there following a loan at Serie A outfit Fiorentina as he became a regular, featuring 48 times across all competitions.
As it stands, Wolves are yet to act on their interest but they are continuing to monitor Arthur’s situation. Newcastle and Everton are in a similar boat, while West Ham United and Crystal Palace have also been linked with a potential swoop.
In total, Arthur has made 257 career appearances, scoring 13 goals and making 15 assists. His most matches have come at Barcelona, followed by Gremio, Juventus, Fiorentina and then Liverpool.
