Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly made an enquiry to sign Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath.

The Old Gold are one of several clubs to have made contact with Boro over a potential summer transfer. Latte Lath has earned interest from across Europe after an impressive first season in England during which he netted 18 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions.

TuttoMercatoWeb reports, as relayed by Talking Wolves, that Wolves are among a number of teams to have enquired over Latte Lath’s availability. Monaco and Stuttgart are said to be among those keen on acquiring the striker’s services, while there’s also interest from Italy.

Signed from Atalanta for around £4.5 million last August, Latte Lath could earn Boro a hefty profit if a bidding war were to commence. It’s been reported by The Northern Echo, however, that Boro have no interest in entertaining a sale as they don’t want to damage their chances of a promotion push.

The player is also happy at Riverside Stadium, with a transfer away not a concern at the moment. Matthias Veneroso, Latte Lath’s agent, said earlier in the summer: “He’s doing well at Middlesbrough, the club loves him and he has a contract.”

Unless Boro’s stance changes drastically, Wolves and other sides keen on Latte Lath will have to look elsewhere.
