Wolves are reportedly in talks with Leicester over the possibility of re-signing former club captain Conor Coady in what would be a straight swap for Craig Dawson.
The Telegraph reports nothing is agreed yet but discussions are underway over a potential deadline day exchange. If completed, former Wolves skipper Coady would make a romantic return to Molineux and Dawson would see his two-year stay come to a sudden close.

Hide AdVitor Pereira is keen to reinforce Wolves’ central defensive options before the 11pm deadline and two deals are now in the works for the position. Red Star Belgrade centre-half Nasser Djiga is on his way to England to undergo a medical ahead of a £10 million transfer, while Coady could join the Burkinabe through the Molineux doors.
Coady, widely recognised as a Wolves club legend having worn the armband and made over 300 appearances, would undoubtedly be a popular deadline day signing among the Old Gold faithful. The 31-year-old Liverpool academy product was a vital member of the squad for six successive seasons, spanning three campaigns in the Championship and three in the Premier League.
Starts probably won’t be guaranteed for Coady - at least immediately - as he has only made 10 Premier League appearances so far this season. The current two-week interval before the next league fixture should help on that front, though, while Coady’s overall presence and leadership will make a monumental difference regardless of if he plays.
Wolves already close to two deadline day deals
As mentioned, Djiga is expected to become a Wolves player if and when he passes his upcoming medical tests. Djiga, a 22-year-old standing at 6ft 3in, promises to be a superb addition as he has emerged as one of the best players in the Serbian top flight.

The eight-time Burkino Faso international only signed for the Serbian Super Liga club for £2.5 million in the summer but he will now depart swiftly in what will be among Red Star’s most expensive sales of all time.
Another new face expected to be sign on deadline day is Stade Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi. Reports first emerged this morning that Wolves were in advanced talks to sign the Zimbabwean from the French Ligue 1 club and a breakthrough has been reached.
Birmingham World understands a fee in the region of €20 million (£17m) has been agreed with Reims, similar to what Wolves paid the same club for Agbadou earlier this month. Munetsi, who has played 23 times for the Zimbabwe national team throughout his career, is in his prime at the age of 28.
Munetsi, who has been a staple of Reims’ midfield for the past five seasons, was recently named the man of the match in the 1-1 draw away at Paris Saint-Germain. Two years ago, he was a target for Brighton & Hove Albion.
In other news and from one former captain to another, Wolves are expected to complete the sale of outcast midfielder Mario Lemina today with Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray in advanced talks.
