Hide AdKelleher enjoyed more Liverpool minutes than ever before last campaign as he stood in when Alisson Becker suffered regular minor injuries. But the backup goalkeeper now wants to become first choice elsewhere following interest from an array of clubs in the Premier League and across Europe.
Football Insider reports Liverpool have already begun their search for a replacement goalkeeper after deciding to grant Kelleher’s wish, with Burnley’s James Trafford eyed. Veteran glovesman Adrian, 37, is also set to leave the Reds as his contract expires at the end of June.
Wolves and Celtic are the clubs said to be leading the race for Kelleher, though Liverpool’s financial demands are rather substantial. Daily Express reports any potential suitor will have to pay in excess of £20 million to acquire Kelleher’s services.

Summer transfer a priority for Kelleher
The Republic of Ireland number one recently admitted his desire to leave Liverpool in an interview ahead of international duty. “Coming off the back of the season where I played the most games I’ve had, my confidence is very high,” Kelleher told FAI TV.
“I think clubs will have been looking as well and seeing me play, so hopefully there’ll be some interest elsewhere. I think the time is right now,” the goalkeeper said, eager to prompt a transfer.
