Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced the first official signing of the 2023/24 summer transfer window as experienced goalkeeper, Tom King.
The 28-year-old has put pen to paper for a surprise move to Molineux, turning down a new contract at newly-promoted League One outfit Northampton Town.

He may not have experience in the top flight but 13 clean sheets in 29 matches last campaign provides promise – and he’s already worked with Wanderers goalkeeping coach Tony Roberts.
Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs said: “Tony wanted to add an experienced number three to the goalkeeper group and Tom is a player who has played a lot of league games, has a great stature, good physicality and plenty of experience from his previous clubs.
“With this experience he will be able to help our younger goalkeepers develop, while also allowing those who need senior football the opportunity to gain it out on loan rather than keeping them around the club as back-up to Jose and Dan.
