Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic is reportedly the subject of an audacious late lunge from Italian Serie A giants AC Milan on Deadline Day.

After his success in scoring goals in successive matches against Everton and Blackpool following his long-awaited return, the forward has seemingly attracted interest.

Kalajdzic has played just four times for Wolves since signing from VfB Stuttgart last summer after he suffered a serious anterior cruciate knee ligament injury on his Premier League debut.

But the limited game time has been enough for the Austrian to make his mark as he has averaged a goal every 57 minutes of action, displaying his natural scoring instinct.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb sensationally claims Milan have pinpointed Kalajdzic as a Deadline Day target as they look to bring in an alternative to Olivier Giroud.

The Rossoneri club recently failed to sign Mehdi Taremi from Porto and have turned their attention to Kalajdzic, with a formal approach already said to have been made.

As expected, however, Wolves are said to have immediately rebuffed Milan’s interest, stating that Kalajdzic is very much not for sale. He’s expected to stay beyond the 11pm deadline.

Even if Milan do make another final-hour approach, it’s incredibly unlikely that the club would sanction a sale, let alone the player, so Wanderers fans should have nothing to worry about.
