Sevilla have 'eye' on out-of-favour Wolves star ahead of January transfer window
Pablo Sarabia is thought to be unhappy at Wolverhampton Wanderers at the moment as he is not getting the first team football that he desires. As such, the Spanish international could look to force a move away from the club in the upcoming January transfer window.
Furthermore, Sarabia now has a potential suitor. According to a report from Spanish outlet Vamos Mi Sevilla, Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta has his ‘eye’ on the former PSG star’s services. While Sevilla are keen to bring him on board in the coming months, Wolves may not be willing to let him go on a free transfer quite so soon. With his current deal due to expire in the summer, it is more likely that they will wait until then.

Hide AdLos Hispalenses have led a somewhat underwhelming 2024/25 campaign in La Liga so far. As things stand, the seven time Europa League winners are 13th in the league table, having picked up just 15 points from 13 games. With 12 goals to their name, they are also one of La Liga’s lowest scoring teams. So far this season, Sarabia has made seven appearances across all competitions for Wolves, scoring just a single goal along the way. At the age of 32, he isn’t getting any younger - a clean break may be the best option for all parties at this point.
He joined Wolves from PSG for a reported fee in the region of £4.2 million from PSG - since then, he has made 48 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring six goals along the way. Previous to his time at the Molineux Stadium, Sarabia played for clubs such as Real Madrid, Sporting CP and Getafe. He has also made several appearances for the Spanish national team, winning 27 caps and scoring nine goals on the international stage.
In an interview conducted back in April on Wolves’ official club website, Sarabia said: “I love football. I’m happiest when I have a ball at my feet – I enjoy football so much. The pace of the Premier League is on another level to the other leagues. Physically, it’s the best league - all the players are at such a high level and play at such a high intensity. I enjoy it a lot and I’m getting more and more used to the league - I’m enjoying playing so much more.
“When I signed here, I knew that I wanted to be an important player here and I want to carry on being a really important part of this club, as they gave me an opportunity to be here. They treat me like family. I think that’s the most important thing and I will give my all for them until the last day. That’s what I have done from the start. I feel really good. I would say I’m at my best level both on and off the pitch. I know that I can play even better though as I’m getting to know the league more and more. I know I’m capable of more playing in the Premier League.”
