Wolverhampton Wanderers have entered a crucial summer transfer window as Vitor Pereira seeks to maintain the newly-found momentum after losing several key players.
The Old Gold have said their farewells to Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri, with the talismanic figures leaving for Manchester United and Manchester City in deals worth £62.5 million and £33 million respectively. It will be tough enough just replacing those two, but Wolves also have plenty of other work to do to ensure the squad is in a competitive place by the beginning of next season.
Wolves’ new technical director, Domenico Teti, will be working tirelessly with Pereira throughout the coming weeks to reach the best possible solutions in several important positions up and down the field. Wanderers have a decent budget to work with following the Cunha and Ait-Nouri sales but care must still be taken to ensure the club isn’t thrown into PSR pressure this time next year.
Who could come and who could go this summer, then? Well, so much is still up in the air but we here at Birmingham World have taken a deep dive into the likeliest sales and signings at Molineux. With that in mind, click through the pages to see how Wolves’ squad could shape up for the 2025/26 season – as well as explanations for each and every player listed.

2. Jose Sa
Expected to carry on as Wolves’ number one despite transfer speculation last summer, Sa is ahead of others in the club’s goalkeeping department. | Wolves via Getty Images

3. Sam Johnstone
It’s been a tricky time for Johnstone since he joined from Crystal Palace as he’s hardly featured, playing second - or even third - fiddle to Sa. The £10 million fee seems a waste. | Wolves via Getty Images

4. Daniel Bentley
Opportunities have been limited but Bentley has remained a model professional throughout and has impressed when called upon. Wolves are thankful for the depth he provides. | Wolves via Getty Images
