Here’s how the Premier League team of the week shapes up for the Easter weekend – as Wolves, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United dominate.

Easter weekend brought about plenty of thrills and spills in the Premier League as huge games took place at both ends of the table. Hitting the 30-game mark for many teams, the end of the campaign is now within sight and there were some huge results for various races across the division on Saturday and Sunday.

Manchester United solidified their top four hopes by beating Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford to kick off the weekend. Aston Villa then beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 to move up to sixth and Newcastle United came from behind to win 2-1 at Brentford.

Tottenham Hotspur were fortunate to run out 2-1 victors at home to Brighton & Hove Albion, with poor refereeing decisions taking centre stage. Leicester City were dumped into the relegation zone as AFC Bournemouth won 1-0 at the King Power Stadium, boosting their own survival hopes. West Ham United soared to 14th with a 1-0 victory at London rivals Fulham.

Crystal Palace all but secured their top half status by thrashing Leeds United 5-1 at Elland Road, while the big clash of the weekend - Liverpool vs Arsenal - ended an exciting 2-2. Wolverhampton Wanderers went from feeling heavily threatened by the drop to buoyant with confidence as they beat Chelsea by one goal to nil on home soil.

So many players impressed this weekend just gone that it would be difficult to select just 11 to form a team of the week but, rather thankfully, WhoScored’s rating system makes things a lot easier. With that in mind, here are the best-performing stars based on WhoScored ratings. See below.
