Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Pedro Neto has named several Manchester City stars he admires amid ongoing transfer links with the Premier League champions.

Neto's extraordinary form this season has gained the attention of England's biggest clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, but City are perhaps the most favourable. The 23-year-old has scored two and assisted nine in 18 Premier League matches this term, with a further one goal and two assists in the Emirates FA Cup.

Living up to the £15 million fee paid to Lazio in 2019 and more, Neto could soon be set for another big-money move. Wolves have definitely improved this season with a top-half finish on the cards but the Portugal international is capable of playing in Europe's elite competitions.

Neto has admitted he wants to reach the dominant level Man City are at. "You have to learn from any player. For example, players of that calibre, Bernardo, who is an unbelievable player who is a player that when I was in Italy, he played for Monaco, I admired him a lot. And I still admire him. I continue to admire the way he plays," Neto told Pedro Pinto.

"Ruben Dias, for his work. Matheus Nunes, who was my teammate here and is a fantastic guy. They are all extraordinary players, and obviously, they are players with a lot of experience. Because they are players with a lot of quality and above all, I want to be at their level,” Neto continued.

With international teammates aplenty, City could be an ideal destination for Wolves' star man. There are still many matches to play this season, though, with Wanderers as Neto's biggest focus. The attention will turn to a potential transfer once the window arrives.
