Pablo Sarabia debut call as midfield decision made - Wolves predicted XI gallery vs Man City
Here’s how we predict Wolverhampton Wanderers’ starting lineup to look against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are back in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon as they head away to champions Manchester City. Having soared out of the bottom three with a win against fellow relegation battlers West Ham United last weekend, Julen Lopetegui’s side will be hoping to build momentum.
Daniel Podence scored the only goal of the game last Saturday to help Wolves to a vital win, whereas this weekend’s opposition lost 2-1 in the Manchester derby the same day. Pep Guardiola’s team did end up winning against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, however, in a 4-2 thriller at the Etihad Stadium.
Heading into the clash - also at the Etihad - there is a whopping 25-point gap between the two sides, highlighting just how much of a challenge it is likely to be for Wanderers. With that in mind, here is the very strong starting lineup we think Lopetegui will go for, with counter-attacking very much in mind. See below.

1. GK: Jose Sa
Kept a clean sheet in his last league outing and remains the first-choice goalkeeper.

2. LB: Hugo Bueno
Made the left-back spot his own this season and is coping well under pressure despite his age.

3. CB: Nathan Collins
Has struggled for consistency but remains one of the best centre halves at the club.

4. CB: Max Kilman
Put on a sensational performance against West Ham and Lopetegui will be hoping for more of the same.
