Nunes dropped as Lopetegui makes Cunha injury call - Wolves predicted XI gallery vs Liverpool

Here’s how we predict Wolverhampton Wanderers’ starting lineup to look against Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head back out on the road in the Premier League on Wednesday evening as they take on Liverpool at Anfield. Having beaten The Reds comprehensively as recently as the start of February, Julen Lopetegui will have plenty of confidence in his team preparing for this one.

It was a frustrating 1-1 draw for Wolves last time out as they failed to build on and then hold onto a 1-0 lead at Fulham. Matheus Cunha’s 60th-minute injury was the turning point as The Cottagers grew back into the game from then on, grabbing an equaliser swiftly after through substitute Manor Solomon.

Wanderers will be eager to go one step further and collect all three points in another away game this midweek, but it certainly won’t be easy. Liverpool may be struggling this campaign but they remain a brilliant side capable of tearing their opponents apart.

Lopetegui will be very aware of The Reds’ capabilities and could well switch things up to counteract their threat. With that in mind, here is the starting lineup we think the Spaniard will go for at Anfield – in a 4-3-3 formation. See below.
