Former Wolves, Cardiff City, Liverpool and Man City star lands League Two manager's job
Promotion-winning Wolves defender Mark Kennedy is back in management after being appointed as the new manager of Swindon Town.

Hide AdThe 48-year-old has been out of work for the last seven months after being axed by Lincoln City. He has now taken on the reins at the County Ground, where he will be tasked with improving the club's finish of 19th in the 2023/24 League Two season. The Robins act as the third club of his managerial career after retiring in 2012.
Speaking to the club's official website at his unveiling, Kennedy said: "Firstly, I'm really excited to be here at Swindon Town and I'm very much looking forward to the project that is in place here.
"I also think it's crucial we look forward now and plan for the future with the exciting plans here at this sleeping giant of a football club, which I'm confident we can all achieve if we're all pulling in the same direction.

Kennedy played the most games of his career for Wolves, playing for them from 2001 to 2006. He was part of the Wolves side that won the Championship play-offs in 2003, scoring the opening goal in a 3-0 win against Sheffield United when Dave Jones was manager.

Hide AdThe 34-time Republic of Ireland international made 187 appearances in total, including 31 in the Premier League, before spending another two years in the Championship after their relegation. He departed for Crystal Palace in 2006 and spent two years there along with Cardiff City and Ipswich Town. Before joining Wolves in 2001 he played for Millwall, Liverpool, QPR, Wimbledon and Manchester City.
