Championship club to make move for Wolves star in January after failed summer transfer
Cundle was poised to return to the Bet365 Stadium after talk of a deadline day move, but the move never happened, and the Warrington-born midfielder stayed put at Molineux. It is now being reported by EFL journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon that the Potters will try and re-sign Cundle in January.
The 22-year-old was on loan with Plymouth Argyle and Stoke last season. He had three goals and five assists with the Pilgrims, but he was then recalled and quickly loaned out to Stoke where he contributed to two goals in 16 appearances.

Speaking in early August to the Express & Star, GON said: "He's done well in pre-season. I've spoken to him about his individual situation and the fact I was impressed by how well he did.
"His situation could still go either way, to be honest. I spoke to him about the decision that he has to make, because he understands the midfielders that we have at the football club and that there may be some patience and it may be difficult for him.”
For the next four months at least, Cundle will now be tasked with forcing his way in to the team. His task of making a breakthrough at Wolves got harder when on deadline day, a £21m deal for Fluminense star Andre was completed.
