Leeds United rocked by massive injury blow ahead of Wolves clash following training incident

Wolves welcome Leeds United to Molineux on Saturday afternoon with the visitors set to be missing key midfielder Tyler Adams.

Leeds United will be without key midfielder Tyler Adams against Wolves on Saturday afternoon after it was revealed he picked up a hamstring injury in training.

The Whites head to Molineux this weekend in the final round of Premier League action before the international break.

Leeds won 2-1 at Elland Road when the sides met in August, as the pair do battle for the third time this season after Wolves won 1-0 in the League Cup in November.

Confirming Adams’ absence, a Leeds statement read: “Tyler Adams has sustained a hamstring injury in training this week and will therefore not be joining up with the USMNT for international duty after Saturday’s game with Wolves.

“The midfielder will remain at Thorp Arch for further assessment.”

Adams joined Leeds from RB Leipzig in the summer and has swiftly become a key figure at Elland Road. He captained the United States at the World Cup in Qatar and has made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Whites this term.

Only centre-back Robin Koch and goalkeeper Illan Meslier have played more minutes for the club this season.
