Wolverhampton Wanderers have some big decisions to make as they look to replace Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri, all while making enhancements to other areas of their squad in the summer transfer window.
Vitor Pereira wants to improve the overall depth and quality in the first team and will target a mix of players who can have an immediate impact and those who have the potential to go on to achieve big things. Wolves have been linked with the likes of Harvey Elliott and Clement Bischoff to replace Cunha and Ait-Nouri but there are a host of other options set to be considered.
The pockets are fairly deep following the Cunha and Ait-Nouri sales and Pereira is eager to bring in players who suit his formation and philosophy. It’s understood Wolves are looking for a new striker to compete with Strand Larsen, while a new right-back will be considered given the possible departure of Nelson Semedo.
With all of that in mind, Birmingham World has taken a look at five sensible transfers Wolves can complete this summer, with players who fit the current style of play and would meet Pereira’s transfer criteria. Here is a look at the hypothetical line up for next season.

2. GK: Jose Sa
Although he wasn't in the best form at times last season, Sa is Wolves' best goalkeeper and isn't expected to leave the club this summer. Other positions are a bigger priority. | Getty Images

3. RCB: Yerson Mosquera
Having worked extremely hard to recover from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Mosquera will be desperate to get back in the Wolves fold. There's been speculation over a potential move away, but surely he's good enough to start for Wanderers in the back three. | Wolves via Getty Images

4. CB: Emmanuel Agbadou
In the heart of the team will be Agbadou, who has already lived up to his £16 million price tag. It's amazing how much of a difference the centre-half has made since joining in the winter. | Wolves via Getty Images
