The latest Premier League transfer news as Wolves agree terms on a long-term contract with a £15 million forward.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed terms with superstar forward Hee-chan Hwang over a new long-term contract, according to a reputable report. The South Korean, who is Wolves' top scorer with eight Premier League goals this campaign, has started to generate interest from elsewhere but is set to extend his Molineux stay.

Reliable transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano exclusively reports Hwang has officially decided to put pen to paper on a new Wolves deal, keeping him at the club until June 2028. The contract, which puts Hwang level with the top earners, includes an option for a further season if Wanderers desire it.

Now 27 years of age and very much in his prime, Hwang is finally fulfilling the sky-high potential the Old Gold hoped he'd reach when he was signed from RB Leipzig in 2022. An initial loan spell was turned permanent for a fee of £15 million – a deal that can now be considered an absolute bargain.

Although not a new signing himself, Hwang committing his future to Wolves is nearly as good as a fresh addition as he has become such a vital player. Clubs were bound to make approaches this January but the new contract will stop them in their tracks.
