He helped the club win the Isthmian League Division One North title and in their first season in the Premier Division, they finished 13th.

In a post published on X on Wednesday (June 19), Halford said: "The time has come to announce I'm leaving @hashtagutd. I made the decision before the season ended and that's why I wasn't at @TST7v7 this year.

"I'd like to thank everyone associated with the club, particularly Spencer Owen. I wish the club all the best for the future."

Halford has featured for 20 teams in his career and played in nearly every position on the pitch, but is predominantly a defender. The club he featured for the most was Colchester United, where he spent five years as a senior player. He went on to play for the likes of Nottingham Forest, Portsmouth, Sheffield United, Cardiff City and Sunderland

Halford was a player at Wolves for two seasons, joining for an undisclosed fee in 2009. He went on to appear 20 times for Wolves before being sent on loan to Portsmouth where he signed a permanent contract.

Four years after leaving Wolves for Portsmouth, Nottingham Forest and then Rotherham United, he moved to Birmingham on a two-month loan deal, playing three games before signing for Cardiff City. Since 2018, he's played for Aberdeen, Southend United, Waterford and Billericay Town before settling with Hashtag.
