Fabrizio Romano confirms Wolves reject transfer bid for £35.6m flop
According to the transfer guru who boasts 21.8m followers on Twitter, a loan plus an option to buy clause offer from Genoa was rejected by Wolves. He added that Wolves 'prefer' to consider other proposals for the Portuguese forward.

Wolves' pre-season squads to Marbella and the United didn't include Silva, and his future seemingly lies away from the Midlands, after returning from a loan spell at Rangers last season. A permanent move away might benefit all parties as Wolves could reinvest that back in to the squad, whilst Silva could benefit from having a permanent focus on impressing for a new club.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday that Genoa had made an 'official bid' for Silva and were expecting an answer this week, and now after being told of Wolves' preference they will now have to improve their proposal. The player himself according to Romano is keen on trying a 'new chapter' in Serie A, but Genoa aren't the only Italian team reportedly interested in signing him.
According to TEAMtalk, Wolves will consider offers of £17.1m for Silva, which would represent an £18.5m loss on the £35.6 million they reportedly paid in 2020, and there is interest from both Valencia and Wolfsburg. Earlier this summer, Silva's agent Carlos Oliveira said to TuttoMercatoWeb that Bologna and Fiorentina had been chasing his signature, and that he was prioritising moves to Italy and Spain for his client.

"He is still very young, he is 21 years old and has immense potential, he will have to work hard and stay focused on his goals. The striker is a particular role, many mature over time and patience is needed.
"We are prioritizing the Spanish and Italian markets for next season. I believe that one of the two championships will be the next step for Fabio.
“Fabio is among their options (Bologna and Fiorentina). Giovanni Sartori, who I consider a master, and Bologna's sporting director, Marco Di Vaio, appreciate Fabio.”
