Wolves and Brentford told transfer asking price for Burnley star
According to the Daily Mirror, the Clarets are demanding £15m for O'Shea. It would provide the Lancashire outfit with an £8m profit on the £7m that they paid West Brom for last season. Burnley are not willing to sell O’Shea for any lower than their asking price, despite signing Bashir Humphreys from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal, with his arrival softening the blow should either club decide to act on their interest for O’Shea.

Hide AdWolves need a new centre-back and that is the priority for Gary O'Neil during the final nine days of the summer transfer window. Max Kilman was sold to West Ham for a reported £40m at the start of July and he still hasn’t been replaced.
Toti and Yerson Mosquera were Wolves' centre-back partnership in their opening day defeat to Arsenal, but O’Neil confirmed that a replacement for Kilman and Pedro Neto was needed. In his pre-match press conference prior to the defeat to the Gunners, he spoke of the desire to recruit players that were Premier League ready, and O'Shea certainly fits the bill after playing regularly for Burnley last season.
According to The Telegraph, Wolves are planning to spend only £20 million of the £94m banked from the sales of Kilman and Neto. If they did pursue a move for O'Shea, it would leave only £5m left over for any other business, unless they entertained the idea of moving more players off their books. Several players have been linked with a move to Molineux over the last week including Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Hide AdBrentford seem to have their options open in their search for a centre-back as on Tuesday, David Ornstein, a trusted journalist for The Athletic linked them with a move for Liverpool’s Sepp van den Berg. An unnamed club was said to have had a £20m offer accepted by Liverpool on Tuesday, and now more information has come to light.
Dutch outlet De Telegraaf is reporting that Brentford along with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen have both made £25m offers, £5m higher than the initial report, and that has been accepted. It is now up to Van den Berg where he decides to play his football after two approaches were accepted.
The 22-year-old is a versatile defender, he is predominantly a centre-back but during a loan spell at Preston North End he was deployed on the right side of defence. He's played the majority of his career as a central defender however and that is where he played mainly for 1. FSV Mainz 05 last season.
