Brazil’s medical team are working to get him fit for their next match.

Wolves midfielder Andre is reportedly dealing with an injury whilst away on international duty and could be a doubt for Brazil's next match.

According to Sport Witness, the £21m summer signing has a suspected hip problem and that that has ruled him out of Brazil’s FIFA World Cup qualifier with Venezuela. Brazil face Venezuela at 9.00 pm UK time.

He along with Atletico Mineiro left-back Guilherme Arana are currently undergoing some treatment for injuries that have been described as ‘not very serious’. They will sit in the stands for the game against Venezuela but will both be assessed for their second qualifier which is against Uruguay at 12.45 am UK time on Wednesday night.

'They are undergoing treatment, following the medical guidelines,' said national team manager Dorvial Junior to TNT Brasil.

‘At first, they will stay with us. We will try to recover tomorrow, it’s not happening for the next match. But a bigger evaluation will be done after the match against Venezuela, and if necessary, we will take the necessary measures.

‘But at first, we will try to recover them because of the injuries. They were not very serious injuries, and because of that, I think that with the treatment, we may be able to recover them.’

The 23-year-old was an unused substitute for Wolves' first win of the season against Southampton at the weekend. Since arriving from Fluminense in the summer, he's made seven appearances, starting five times, and then coming on as a substitute twice.

Gary O'Neil has preferred Mario Lemina and Tommy Doyle over Andre in recent weeks. Andre's compatriot Joao Gomes is the only centre midfielder that has started in all 11 of Wolves' league matches this season.

Wolves will be hopeful that Andre can recover from his injury in time ahead of their next match. They travel to Craven Cottage on Saturday, November 23 to face Fulham. A win could potentially move them out of the relegation zone.
