BirminghamWorld met with supporters from both sides after the game to get their verdict. You can hear and see what they told us in the video at the top of our story. Or read a selection of comments below. Let us know what you think too.
Villa fan Julie says: “Wolves deserved to win that one today, 6-1, they really did. We didn’t deserve the penalty. I just didn’t get the formation.
“I honestly have no idea what formation he was playing, and I’ve got to be honest with you, Steven Gerrard has to take a lot of the blame for that game today.

“Because the players just didn’t look like they had a clue what they were trying to play. They really didn’t. And that’s the first time I’ve said anything negative about Gerrard. And bring on the summer when we can make some really good signings and get rid of some of the players today that really didn’t want to wear that shirt.”

Wolves fan Mark says: “Very good. From Wolves point of view. Thought they started well, and an early goal always helps, you know, it sets the tone for the game. And I thought the Villa lost their way a little bit.
“But I thought Villa midway, through the first half really took control of the game and come back into it. From the Wolves point of view all the goals come at the right time. So yeah, pleased.”

Wolves fan Harry says: “Brilliant game, I think. Never a penalty! Don’t know how the ref given that, but overall a brilliant performance from Wolves I think.”
Wolves Erin says: “I think we played really well. And I think that once Fabio gets a goal, that he’ll start to score more and I think he just needs a bit of spur - a goal - to spur him on. And I thought we played really well.”
