Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly interested in a move for Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, according to a report.

Football Transfers report that Arsenal are looking for a left-back in this window, and that Wolves have already shown resistance by rejecting an offer from the Gunners. It adds that talks between Liverpool and Wolves have already taken place and that Nouri could depart either this month or in the summer should a bid exceeding more than £50m be accepted.

Ait-Nouri is currently away on international duty with Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, and that runs past the shutting of the January transfer window. He played the full game against Angola in their opening group match on Monday and has games against Burkina Faso on Saturday (January 20) and Mauritania on Tuesday (January 23).

If Algeria progress all the way to the final then that would take place on Sunday, February 11, and so any potential deal should a bid be accepted would have to be concluded abroad. It is said by Football Transfers that Mikel Arteta wants to recruit four 'top-class inverted full-backs' and Ait-Nouri could be a good fit for the Gunners.

The 22-year-old is under contract at Wolves until the summer of 2026 and so the Molineux club can demand a sizeable fee for one of their prized assets. He has played 19 games in all competitions this season and has made 16 starts which highlights how key he is to Gary O'Neil's plans.

In other news, Wolves' transfer search has seen them look at a Chelsea striker. The Guardian is reporting that Wolves are considering a move for Spanish striker Armando Broja. His departure will likely hinge on if Chelsea can find a replacement and the Blues are said to be looking at Jhon Duran, as well as Victor Osimhen and Evan Ferguson.

Broja has been dealing with a serious knee injury and is searching for some momentum. The 22-year-old has got two goals in 17 games this season with his latest coming in the 4-0 win over Preston North End in the FA Cup. Broja is a 17-time Albania international and had a loan spell with Southampton previously where he scored nine goals in 38 games.
