Where Aston Villa & Wolves rank in Premier League attendance table - plus passionate fan photos

The full average Premier League attendance table, including where Aston Villa & Wolverhampton Wanderers sit.

As the Premier League comes to a halt for the duration of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the average attendance figures for all 20 clubs in the division have been counted. This includes West Midlands sides Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have both seen high figures despite disappointing starts to the season.

Villa have had a slight resurgence under new manager Unai Emery, with two successive league wins since the former Arsenal manager took to the dugout. But before then, the Villans had really struggled and were sitting just a place or two above the relegation zone.

Wolves, meanwhile, will be 20th in the Premier League on Christmas Day, adding further misery to an already dismal campaign. The Wanderers have the prospect of brighter horizons, though, with a new head coach of their own in Julen Lopetegui.

With 146 matches played so far this season, the Premier League has attracted a total of over 5.8 million in fan attendance, with an average of nearly 40,000 per fixture. So, how do Villa and Wolves compare to the likes of Leeds United, Leicester City, Everton and Chelsea? Here are the average attendances for every side in the English top flight, via World Football.
