Where Birmingham City, West Brom, Sunderland, Burnley & others are predicted to finish in next season’s Championship

Pivotal seasons are on the horizon for West Midlands Championship rivals Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion but for far different reasons.

The blue half of Birmingham have a constant cloud of uncertainity hanging over their head in regards to ownership and with pre-season just around the corner and barely a squad to field - it’s already looking like anything above 22nd would be a success.

West Brom on the other hand are looking to bounce back to the Premier League at the second time of asking following a well below par campaign in 21/22 which saw them finish 10th.

Steve Bruce is the man tasked with re-shaping the squad into one that can challenge for a return to the big leagues and after the swift arrival of one John Swift, things have gone a little quiet over at the Hawthorns - but it’s still early days.

With that said, it hasn’t stopped the markets making their predictions ahead of 22/23.

Albion are favoured by most to be right amongst it in terms of the promotion places whilst it’s looking real bleak down at St Andrew’s as we approach mid-June.
