West Bromwich Albion’s start to the season has been far from ideal with two draws and a defeat in the opening three games, with only goals scored keeping them above the relegation zone.

Last time out, The Baggies suffered a 2-1 defeat away to league toppers Blackburn Rovers who, despite having less possession and shots, brushed away Steve Bruce’s side. Grady Diangana’s second half goal piled on the pressure towards the latter stages but it wasn’t enough.

The Albion now sit in 20th position as they prepare to take on Cardiff City, who have begun the campaign in a far better fashion. They’ve won two of their first three matches, beating Norwich City on the opening day and then Birmingham City last weekend. Their only defeat so far was to Reading on 6 August.

West Brom will be hoping to bounce back after a poor start, and having the home support at The Hawthorns should help towards that somewhat.

Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know ahead of West Brom vs Cardiff, including how to watch the game on TV, the kick-off time and the latest team news.

What is the team news ahead of West Brom vs Cardiff?

West Brom’s summer signing Okay Yokuslu, whose loan move from last season turned permanent recently, is set to continue his run of games in the Championship.

The Baggies are expected to be without American striker Daryl Dike through a thigh injury, but Karlan Grant, who returned to the starting eleven at Blackburn, is expected to play once again.

For Cardiff meanwhile, and young right-back Vontae Daley-Campbell is available once again as he returns from suspension, but he is expected to be on the bench for Wednesday’s clash.

Striker Max Watters was substituted through illness in The Bluebirds’ game against Birmingham on the weekend, and so the likes of Mark Harris or Kion Etete may take his place.
