West Brom-linked Ryan Porteous has confirmed that he will be leaving Hibernian. The centre-back has been on the books at Easter Road for his whole career to date but will be departing for a new challenge somewhere else. He has told Sky Sports: “I like the idea of moving to a different league and testing myself there. I think there is a lot of boys who have left Scottish football and have went down and flourished.”

Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley believes Baggies loanee Josh Griffiths will be staying put until the end of the season. The goalkeeper has been a hit at Fratton Park so far this term and is getting plenty of game time. His manager has told The News: “Yes (he thinks Griffiths will stay). We certainly hope he will be here. This is his third loan and I think he’s improving by the day. It’s always great to work with young players, and he’s a boy who’s growing and improving. We know he’s at top keeper and we’ve been pleased with him.”

Birmingham City

Birmingham midfielder Jobe Bellingham is reportedly attracting interest ahead of the January transfer window. According to a report by TEAMtalk, the youngster is wanted by Newcastle United, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Rangers, Nice and Bayer Leverkusen.

Leeds United are apparently not trying to sign Blues starlet George Hall this winter. That’s according to The Mirror reporter David Anderson on Twitter, who says speculation that he is heading to Elland Road is ‘wide of the mark’.
