West Brom have the chance to bring in some new players this summer

It is expected to be a summer of transition at West Brom. They have a number of players out of contract in late June including Grady Diangana, John Swift and Semi Ajayi, among others. The Baggies have the chance to bring in some new faces when the transfer window opens for business.

The Midlands outfit are in the hunt for a new manager. They decided to part ways with Tony Mowbray after a poor run of form. James Morrison was placed in caretaker charge as they missed out on a place in the Championship play-offs.

West Brom defensive and midfield signings predicted by AI

We have asked AI to predict West Brom’s summer signings. Here are the results...

Harry Darling, Swansea City

The 25-year-old, who has been linked with Birmingham City, is out of contract at the end of next month. He is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal and is due to become a free agent as things stand. The centre-back has a big decision to make on his future and will be weighing up his options in the game.

Stelios Andreou, Charleroi

Andreou is a defender who Charleroi may face a battle to keep hold of in the near future. At the age of 22, he has a bright future ahead of him and has a lot of potential. If West Brom were to snap him up, he would boost their defensive ranks and add more competition and depth.

Josh Mulligan, Dundee

The 22-year-old has been predicted to join the Baggies by AI from Dundee. He can play in either midfield or defence and this versatility would come in very handy in the next campaign. The Scotsman has been on the books of his current club for his whole career to date and has become one of their most prized assets.

The 32-year-old would be an eye-catching signing by West Brom if they managed to get him. He has seen his game time at West Ham dry up over recent times and a change of scene could do him good. They spent £12million on him in 2023. The forward is a vastly experienced player and has had spells in the past with the likes of AFC Bournemouth, Burnley, Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Wes Burns, Ipswich Town

It seems unlikely that he will leave Ipswich Town due to the fact he has been out injured over recent times. The wing-back, who can also play further up the pitch if needed, has been an important player for the Tractor Boys. He helped them rise from League One to the top flight under the guidance of Kieran McKenna.

Joao Pedro, Hull City

The 33-year-old joined Hull City on a free transfer last September and went on to score six goals for the Tigers to help them stay up. The Brazil-born man was their top scorer but it remains to be seen whether he will pen an extension at the MKM Stadium or head out the exit door. He has also been at Cagliari, Fenerbahce and Gremio previously.
