West Brom set for bumper crowd as Southampton allocation sold out

Southampton have sold their allocation for their Championship play-off match away at West Brom

The Baggies gave the Saints an allocation of 2,009 for the first leg which will take place at the Hawthorns. The two sides meet on Sunday, May 12 at 2.15 pm.

Tickets went on sale to home supporters after their place was confirmed on Saturday. They beat Preston North End 3-0 on Saturday thanks to goals from Alex Mowatt, Kyle Bartley and Darnell Furlong.

They are priced at £28 for adults, £23 seniors, £17 for 20 to 25-year-olds, £12 for 17 to 19-year-old’s and £5 for those under the age of 17. Season ticket holders have until 10.00 pm on Monday, May 6 to secure their seat.

Season ticket seats which haven’t been snapped up will then be released to those who have accumulated 25 loyalty points or more on Tuesday, May 7. There are six stages of ticket sales with the final lot going on sale from 9.00 am on Thursday, May 9 if there are any remaining.

Southampton visited the Hawthorns in early February and brought 1,970 fans for a game played on a Friday night. Ryan Fraser and David Brooks were on target for the Hampshire outfit that today with 23,096 supporters going home disappointed. Manager Carlos Corberan was sent to the stands after being red carded after the referee adjudged him of touching the ball whilst it was still in play.

The highest attended league match of the season at West Brom this season was when 25,409 were in attendance to witness Grady Diangana score in a 1-0 win against Leeds United. West Brom’s lowest attendance in the league was when 21,749 came for the 2-0 win against QPR in October.
