West Bromwich Albion are in Sky Bet Championship action for the final time before the November international break as they travel away to face Southampton. Kicking off at St Mary's Stadium at 3pm on Saturday, the Baggies have the opportunity to move up to as high as third place with a victory.
Carlos Corberan's men are buoying with confidence following three consecutive wins – against Hull City, Coventry City and Queens Park Rangers – but must refocus as Southampton are a real threat. The Saints, who are unbeaten in their last seven, share West Brom's promotion hopes and won't be pushed over easily.
Albion will have to be at their absolute best on Saturday if they are to claim any points whatsoever, let alone all three. With that in mind, here's the strong starting lineup we think Corberan will field, as well as brief explanations for each of our inclusions.
1. GK - Alex Palmer
With just one goal conceded in his last four, Palmer simply cannot be replaced.
2. RB - Darnell Furlong
Ahead of Pipa in the right-back pecking order still, Furlong put on a strong showing last time out.
3. CB - Cedric Kipre
Looks to be the most undroppable of Albion’s centre halves at current and that’s easier said than done with lots of competition.
4. CB - Semi Ajayi
Although Kyle Bartley has been passed fit for this weekend after a shoulder problem sustained against Hull, Ajayi scored off the bench in that game and looked really sharp.
