West Bromwich Albion are in local derby action for the second time in a week as they play host to Birmingham City at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
The Baggies must switch their attention back to the Sky Bet Championship following a painful 2-0 defeat in the Emirates FA Cup against bitter rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out. Carlos Corberan’s side are in fifth place at the moment but that could change very quickly with a poor result this weekend.
Coventry City, Sunderland and Hull City are all within three points of Albion, meaning a win over Birmingham is vital to get the momentum back onside. It won’t be easy, though, as Blues have turned a corner under new manager Tony Mowbray, with just one defeat in his first four matches in charge.
West Brom have the stronger squad, no doubt, but anything can happen when local foes meet. With that in mind, here’s the starting lineup we predict Corberan will choose – including a decision for new signing Mikey Johnston.
