Both teams were victorious last weekend as the Pilgrims lent the Baggies a hand in helping them reach the top of the Championship. Plymouth beat Sunderland 3-2, thanks to a 93rd minute winner from Joe Edwards, after Ryan Hardie had put them in front following Patrick Roberts' opener and then Romaine Mundle's equaliser.

West Brom made the most of the Black Cats’ first league defeat of the season as they beat Portsmouth 3-0 at Fratton Park on Sunday. Alex Mowatt scored twice in between Josh Maja’s first-minute opener, as they continued their unbeaten start to the campaign.

Injuries used to really affect West Brom, but right now the treatment room isn't too busy, and the same can be said for Plymouth. Here's the latest injury news ahead of kick-off.

West Brom team news

Daryl Dike is West Brom’s only major injury concern. He has been sidelined since February with a second successive Achilles injury. The American striker is making steady progress and could make a return to action in the coming months.

Deadline day signing Mikey Johnston came off the bench last week, playing a 10-minute cameo appearance against Portsmouth. Mason Holgate, who also returned to the club, was an unused substitute.

Jayson Molumby was a doubt last weekend having picked up a foot injury whilst on international duty. The 25-year-old managed to play 68 minutes at Fratton Park, and so West Brom's medical staff don't have much to deal with.

Out: Daryl Dike.

Plymouth Argyle team news

Goalkeeper Conor Hazard has been ruled out until December after undergoing surgery to repair ankle ligament that he damaged in August. It prompted the club to sign Marko Marosi who left Shrewsbury Town in the summer.

Brendan Galloway was missing against Stoke City before the international break. The 28-year-old missed out on international duty with Zimbabwe because of a hamstring injury but returned to action against Sunderland last weekend.

On-loan Leeds United midfielder Darko Gyabi was forced to undergo a groin operation at the end of last season, and and was still contending with the issue in to this season. He like Galloway was involved last weekend however, and started the match.

Out: Conor Hazard.
